Settings
- Press the '@' button.
- Scroll down to Advanced and press 'OK'.
- Press 'OK' on Connection Settings.
- Select Provider 1 and select the Modify soft key (on left side of screen).
- Press 'OK' to enter WAP settings and press 'OK' again to confirm after entering each
setting below:-
Provider title - Anything you like
Login - Get this from your mobile operator
Password - Get this from your mobile operator (Note: password is case sensitive)
Homepage - (Leave the field
empty; do not key in any URL)
Dial-up number - Get this from your mobile operator(press and hold the '0' key to get the '+' sign)
IP address -Get this from your mobile operator
Port Type - 'Get this from your mobile operator' (select 'secured'
when making WAP transactions in the
future such as stock trading, mobile banking, bill
payment, etc)
Mode - Get this from your mobile operator (select "Analog" mode
when roaming)
Press 'C' once. Select Anything you like as the provider and press 'OK' to
activate.
To start WAP session
- Press the @ key.
- Scroll to Home and press 'OK'.
- The phone will attempt to connect to the WAP gateway and your Mobile Provider's Internet
Homepage will be displayed.
Adding/Creating a Bookmark
- Press the @ button.
- Scroll down to Bookmarks and press 'OK'.
- Press 'OK' on Add.
- Key in the W@P URL that you wish to record as bookmark and press 'OK'.
- Key in the title and press 'OK'.
- You can store a maximum of 10 bookmarks at any time.
Using Bookmarks
- When you are NOT in a WAP session:-
- Press the @ button.
- Scroll down to bookmarks and press 'OK'.
- Select the bookmark that you wish to access and press 'OK' or Goto. The phone
will automatically access to the URL specified in the bookmark.
- When you are in a WAP session:-
- Press the @ button TWICE.
- Scroll down to Bookmarks and press 'OK'.
- Select the bookmark that you wish to access and press 'OK' or Goto. The phone
will connect to the page specified in the bookmark selected.
To Reset the UP browser (empty cache)
- Press the @ button.
- Scroll down to Reset cache and press 'OK'.
- Cache memory is automatically erased.
