February the month of love, relationships, ex-girlfriends, boyfriends and High Fidelity! Now if you are an avid relationship cultivator whose luck is running low at the moment, then this is the movie for you.

John Cusack plays the role of Rob Gordon the owner of Championship Vinyl, a record store that caters exclusively to the non-popish genre of music. Pretty neat store eh? … wish there was one like that in Malaysia. Now if you have watched other Cusack movies ("Con Air", "Grosse Pointe Blank" "The Thin Red Line") you will find he is the perfect actor to play a man pondering the top 5 reasons why he gets dumped all the time. There are splashes of intelligent humor thrown around to the right and sarcasm to the left.

As the movie progresses the answers to Cusack's questions will become evident to us the viewers. But it's interesting to learn the rationalization of a relationship from a man's point of view.

At the record store, Dick (Todd Louiso) and Barry (Jack Black) play the two employees who never quit...literally. Now these two spice up the movie with their own warped theories regarding any issue under the sun. What I like best about the two of them is the Top 5 songs selected by them for different occasions i.e. funerals, weddings, etc. The utter seriousness of the selection puts a smile on your face.

So if you regard yourself to be an authority on non-popish music & a relationship enthusiast then put your skills to the test and check out this movie!
